Writing this for Caitlin in 2021 was joyous, and getting to know her artistry has been deeply moving. Each gesture was born from improvisation with a deep reverie of Bach. This piece is structured like the creative process itself: it begins with a burst of ecstasy, and the material follows a transformational path as it reveals itself, blurring the sense of time and memory from the first utterance to the last.

The Moon Stands Blank Above
Out NOW – Nathan Schram and Shahzad Ismaily got together a few years ago @figure8recording and made some music with no plans and lots of feelings. It’s now a 35 minute album and AI film delving into the subconscious of our collective grief and coming out the other side.
It’s great music for aimless travel or an empty, rustling head.
Thanks to @christopherbotta for making every sound and story on this record a reality, @elliotcole and @long.echo.records for sharing this with the world and @lesterst.louis and @matt_evans_online for bringing endless magic. And the limitless @cinem.ai for helping me with the trailer and all impossible AI adventures.
