It’s here! ✨ Susurrus, my new self-published Photobook is finally here and available! Shot on Black-and-White film, paired with QR-code soundscapes recorded in the jungle, Susurrus invites you into the realm of the calm, chaotic and sacred rhythms of the forest. The book is a reflection of my time last year around the jungles of Ba’Kelalan, on the border of Borneo and Indonesia. This project is deeply personal and closely rooted to my heart. I am so thankful to have been able to spend time there with the community and in the nature truly appreciating the forest for what it is and the people and community that bring and show kindness to all. Therefore 70% of profits will go directly back to the community of Ba’Kelalan so that when I return hopefully the end of this year we can help build some more facilities and help protect the forest from being over hunted and cut down. Now available at [link in bio] /product-page/susurrus Please note, each book will be handcrafted by me so when ordering it will take max 3 weeks for me to create the book specifically for you and ship it. Also a big massive shoutout to @hldarkroom for helping me with the space and printing for this book throughout publication! Could not have done it without you James! Thank you!

Whispers of the wind: Evergreen Spindle Leaves (2024) On show at @cicamuseum last week. In this edition of ‘Whispers of the Wind’, the work has been made with found leaves outside the studio, taken from the ground at the entrance of this museum. The ‘Whispers of the Wind’ Series is a continuous work whereby the artist manually has sewn leaves one by one onto paper or canvas creating a three-dimensional work. These leaves are then connected to tiny motors to create movement simulating wind onto the leaves, creating an artificial sense of life in the leaves. It explores the feeling of wind through sense of time and movement. #art #photography #leaves #spindle #evergreenspindle #installationart #moving #movingleaves #green #nature #ecologyoflight #exhibition #cicamuseum #seoul #gimpo #art #photography #artscouncilengland #developyourcreativepractice #dycp

This last month I have been participating in the Art Studio Programme of CICA museum in Gimpo, South Korea. This time has allowed me to explore works that I have been wanting to make, plus be inspired by the environment and surroundings of Seoul. These are works I have curated in a final solo exhibition called ‘Ecology of Light’, and have been inspired by spring, by light and by movement of nature, creating a space that showcases the beauty of nature and its element that gives life. Light is what brings life. I will be posting more on the individual works over the coming days but for anyone who is in the area of Gimpo and Seoul, the show is open to view from the 24th until the 28th of April. I will be there to talk to from 11am until 3pm on the 25th and the 26th and on the weekend I will be there from opening until closing (10:30am - 5pm), so come down and let’s have a chat! #art #seoul #cicamuseum #gimpo #analogue #cherryblossoms #spring #light #photosynthesis #photography #installation #leaves

This last weekend I was giving the opportunity to speak about my practice and new research that I am developing at the Helsinki Analogue Festival, hosted by @finnishdarkroom and @katrikrohnlassila , I want to say thank you so much for the opportunity and hosting such a wonderful symposium on the sustainable body, with brilliant and inspiring talks! It’s been an eye-opener. The exhibition is still on if you are in the neighbourhood! #symposium #helsinkianalogfestival #landscapephotography #sustainablitliy

DAKO Darkroom started with a simple idea: we wanted a space where making and learning could happen side by side, without barriers. And thanks to Klatch Studios we are able to make that possible Our logo, Morning the dog, holds a bit of that spirit of anyone can come and play in the darkroom and have fun. We want to make the space comfortable for anyone to join and come to learn. We built DAKO because we both love analogue photography and are keen to share the magic around analogue photography and create a space where there is no expectation for perfect images. A place where knowledge is shared openly, where you can try, fail, and try again. Where people from different backgrounds and experiences can come together and feel welcome in a technical space. For us, it’s about learning by doing, and about supporting each other through that process. It’s about exchange of skills, ideas, and perspectives, both locally and beyond. It’s about thinking carefully about how we work, from the materials we use to the kind of community we want to build. At the same time, it’s about keeping analogue photography alive, not as something fixed in the past, but as something that continues to grow and change with the people who use it. DAKO is still taking shape, just like an image in the developer. And we’re building it together, one step at a time.

Here we are showcasing some work by our co-founder Leanne Wiggers. Her practice explores the relationship between landscape, material processes, and the connections between the Human and Non-Human. Working primarily with analogue photography, she approaches the darkroom as a space for experimentation and close observation. This selection shows a glimpse into her photographic practice. Slide 1: sussurus, 2025. Slide 2: Sussurus, 2025. Slide 3: There Where, 2024. Slide 4: in-between, 2022. Slide 5: 3 hours walk, 2021. Slide 6: Sussurus, 2025. ✨ Welcome to Dako Darkroom! ✨ We’re excited to share our new Darkroom opening this April,a place to create, experiment, and explore analogue photography in all its playful, sustainable, and experimental forms. So first, meet one of our co-founders, Leanne Wiggers. She’s a Dutch artist based in London, working with photography, video, and installation. Slide 1: Four words that define Leanne’s practice:Sustainability | Plant Developing | Orthochromatic | Landscape with her portrait. Slide 2: Some of her favourite darkroom tools: Ilford Satin Paper, Mamiya 645 camera, and Washi S 120mm / Ortho Ilford 120mm film. Slide 3: B&W photos printed in color, plant developing, and plant printing, pushing the darkroom boundaries in playful ways. We can’t wait to welcome you to Dako Darkroom soon!more info coming! #DakoDarkroom #leannewiggers #analoguephotography #darkroom #plantphotography
