RANDOM • Christmas decoration designed for RAUTIS • The handmade ornaments made of blown glass beads for the Christmas tree. The Random ornament symbolizes the connection between the seemingly incompatible forces of chance and geometry. It is also a metaphor for the Christmas season, when unexpected things can intertwine and evolve into new beginnings and stories. Because Christmas is often a time when surprising moments leave the most beautiful memories. RANDOM COLLECTION • We didn’t get a typical brief from Rautis. Instead, we were given creative freedom and a challenge – to transform the perception of traditional Christmas ornaments and the craft behind them. We married historical patterns with contemporary design and the boldness that is so crucial in our industry. And the development process worked well, above all because both Rautis and LLEV approached it with trust and the ability to listen to one another. Many of these objects that we collect have a much more important function for us than the primary one. These treasures of ours are full of emotional and passionate molecules of memories of a specific place, event or close human being. They are often also an inheritance of incalculable value. The aforementioned things stand high in the value scale of our home, define our personality and humanize the space. These little things, trifles and finds are simply among our household items with a high content of the aforementioned emotional functionality. The greatest satisfaction for LLEV will be when a product created by us becomes your family household item. It may not happen right away, but perhaps in 133 years. It will be the moment when your descendant will trace the origin of the object he is holding in his hand and create a similar relationship to it as we have to the shot rose from the Sychrov pilgrimage.
