I found a moment of joy, it was in the lint of my pocket. It was caught in the wind when I wiped my hands on my pants and said to myself “This sunshine is nice”.
I found a rock to sit on, it was not a smooth rock but I liked it anyway. The grip on my shoes was not enough to hold my feet in place and I hugged my knees to take the pressure off my thigh muscles as I said to myself “This breeze is nice.”
I found a piece of time to play inside of, it was sandwiched between to pieces of hurrying, a slice of focus, and a delicious drizzle of mission. The tensions between my shoulder blades let up and my arms went limp as I felt the bounce of colour soothe my retinas and cheeks. I felt the dirt on my shins dissolve as I said to myself “This ball pit is nice.”
I have been acclimating to a new lifestyle. I followed my compass away from working in film and have been working at @oldhouserevival antique mall, still at @yellowdogtavern sometimes and making slow movements toward a more workable home-framing studio (I'm im the middle of changing it up again...).
Kyle and I have been busy acclimating to living alone, nesting and being eternally deeply in loooooove and I finally feel a sense of normalcy amidst it all, that I don't think I thought was possible. Nothing will ever really be normal though ;-)
Coming home, ripping an album and doing some cleaning has never felt so delish.
Making home slowly all shades of blue makes me feel so at ease wow.
Also I've never been more excited to start practicing music again!!!!! Once I get some things moved around.... I'll be practicing a lot. A LOT I TELL YOU.

For Dylan and Gerrit's gig at Sookrams I was creating a backdrop of orange tiled tissue paper. Using my weird lamp, I put it up. The day of I was flooded with ideas of making clouds and hanging them, and it was a lot biGgEr and bEtTer in my head but that's part of "just doing it". I can't wait to work on a rig that can bring my ideas to life better!
