I had the privilege of working with
@embethdavidtz —an on screen icon and fellow South African—on her deeply moving film Don’t Let’s Go to the Dogs Tonight.
The story is a raw, poetic look at the final days of colonial Rhodesia, seen through the eyes of a child.
It’s an honest, haunting, and at times tender portrayal of a world on the verge of transformation.
To see a fellow South African tell this story with such nuance, empathy, and strength—it means more than I can say. Some stories stay with you long after the credits roll. Please whatch this film!
