Happy dance day! In December I did an improvised solo for @the_studyseries at @artsonsite
Exploring what it means to be a dancer without being a professional performer is a lifelong journey :)

Introducing the Choreographers of KoDaFe in NYC 2026 🎉 @lizbdancer
“Drifter” is a solo that embodies the song “She’s Just a Drifter” by Marty Robbins. I was inspired to create this work because my grandfather loved Marty Robbins, and he himself was a traveler having been to almost all 50 states. I imagined dancing this solo in a large open field, with feelings of wanderlust and feminine curiosity driving the virtuoso movement. The dance looks like it feels good and I want the audience to feel as if they want to get up and join themselves! I’d love this opportunity to refine this piece even further, since we had a short rehearsal process and only one performance.
