The entirety of this project has been a year in the making. I was with @timmyskelly & @noah.ehler in pine mountain club this time last year for a week as they wrote this entire project (I filmed that too, likely will release that whole thing on YT sometime soon)
And then Timmy and I have been working on building an entire world around Nowhere Land. It took us on a journey across the country… we might have even made a movie around a 60 page short story that Timmy wrote which will be coming soon as well.

In 2023, we went with @timmyskelly and his band to a cabin nestled in a canyon in Filmore, California. I didn’t really know Timmy at the time, so this was kind of a complete leap of faith on both of our parts. Along with us came @connorleeds and @russelltandy_ to shoot the live album that would be recorded at the end of the trip (literally they had 72 hours to write and record an album), and @bohorqueziso to capture the story of Timmy making his first album. This trip changed the trajectory of my life (and Timmy’s life) as with the footage we got from this, Timmy’s team quickly formed around him & the project slightly shifted directions. Unfortunately, this incredible project never saw the light of day as a result and both the doc and the live album lie dormant on our hard drives. I find myself thinking about this project a lot. Timmy and I every few months talk about how we think it may make a triumphant return with a follow up second half of the documentary and the release of the live project and a studio version created years later after he is an established artist. Truth is that it’s a shame the world doesn’t know what happened there, it sure was special. Maybe one day.

This just started as a post about the music video for Timmy’s new song… and rapidly became a dump of the entire last year of making cool things with my best friends. I’m so very thankful for everyone featured in these posts (and several that aren’t) in making life awesome. Especially thankful to Pert & Timmy for trusting in me to help bring their visions into the world, it gives me all the purpose I could possibly ask for & we get to live such a sick experience every step of the way coming up together. This is truly all I ever dreamed of when I first started this journey.

Live2 artist @joeybrodnax released his debut project today, and man oh man this one is special. Wayyy back in July (while I was in Sandwich, IL with Timmy shooting Breckenridge Lane) I came across the initial video to what would be Joey’s first single of the project “am I real? am I here? am I listening?” and needless to say, I was blown away.
That feeling of awe was only made stronger when I went to Nashville with @milesmurphy to shoot the first chunk of this whole campaign & we witnessed first hand just how much everyone loves Joey. What an incredible community he’s built around himself from both the film and music worlds out in Nashville. It seemed like together we were all able to achieve the impossible purely from Joey’s attitude alone.
This particular video was done by @trentmillspaugh (goated steady op) and @joeybrodnax himself (did I mention he’s a cracked filmmaker too?!)
