There was a Shadow got The New York Times The Best Childrens’ Books of 2024! Without @brucehandy ‘s beautiful writing, and @enchantedlion team’s help, it is not going to happen! Thanx @nytimes @nytbooks and everyone who supported this book. Thank you! I feel super motivated to be a book creator.

It has been 7 months in for our renovation, and 1 month and 10 days for living in the construction site. We still need at least one month, with no kitchen and half bathroom. I dreamed of our home, and it is such a long and expensive wait. So I drew a finished home tonight.

I created the cover illustration for a Norwegian children’s book that has just been translated into Chinese for the first time. The story follows a young boy who is bullied at school and pushed by his parents to learn boxing as a way to “toughen up” and become more masculine. Instead of embracing violence, he discovers his own strength and identity through singing.

A piece I did for NPR, a while ago, about labor exploitation within parts of the cannabis industry—specifically cases where Asian immigrants were recruited under false pretenses and then had their passports confiscated, which is a common indicator of human trafficking or forced labor.
