Today I finally got to meet the gorgeously talented human being @oliviahopewriter
We have rather a unique relationship in that I would class her as one of my closest friends, and yet today we met for the very first time.
And a double treat to see the Wes Anderson exhibition at @designmuseum (thank you Olivia!)
One minute you’re four years old and about to enter the fancy dress competition in a silver jubilee street party (I came second to a boy dressed as the Titanic. Robbed.). And the next you’re suddenly 53. Although I’ve been rounding myself up to 53 for a while now, so I’m actually quite chuffed I’m not 54 today. 🥳
It is 250 years since the birth of Constable and Ipswich are celebrating in style. Catch Constable: A Cast of Characters at Christchurch Mansion until 14th June (sorry - no photos). And then in July the town welcomes The Hay Wain for a historic stay in Suffolk. Congratulations to @roodinthehouse and the team for another pitch perfect exhibition 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It was a joy to sit and listen to @evakinderwrites talk about her brilliant third novel, THEM GIRLS. I loved this book - a multi-layered female-centred story packed with such well drawn characters that you’ll finish the book feeling like you’ve met them. I especially loved the 80s/90s references (interesting fact: I once saw Five Star in Debenhams in Romford 💪🏼)
