I wrote this song with my good buddy @noahshilkin in Margaret River years ago. At the time I couldn’t find a home for it because I didn’t feel it belonged on the album I was working on. The song continued to sit in demo form and every once in a while I’d listen to it and think that I really should record and release it one day...

A couple of years ago my good buddy @jamesmcguffiemusic put a call out to start a community choir in his neighborhood (Castlemaine).
The uptake was huge and James recently invited me to perform a few of my songs which he and another beautiful songwriter @hana.stretton arranged for the choir.

21 years ago @woodfordfolkfestival took a chance on a little known singer songwriter from Sydney and gave him the chance to play a bunch of songs he’d written to big crowds. This was a defining moment in giving me the affirmation to go and record those songs which would form my debut album ‘Autumn Flow’, which I released the following year.
As a token of thanks, I’ll be bringing my band back to Woodford this year to perform the album in its entirety. This show is exclusive to Woodford and I can’t wait to bring these songs back to the Amphigrande stage.

Brisbane… In just over a week I am teaming up with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra to bring the full orchestral version of ‘Compassion’ to Queensland for the first time.
@qsorchestra is the only major state orchestra that is yet to perform ‘Compassion’ so I’m really looking forward to finally performing with this fantastic orchestra.
