Super proud that at 40 years old I’m hitting my best 1RM’s for the big three. Deadlifts, bench and squats, and sitting at my heaviest 88kg. Now time for the summer cut.

With the addition of the new green helmet, my MMPR collection is complete āœ… if you wanna know why I’m still obsessed with this series, when I was a kid there was no black representation in live action super hero shows for kids, until this one. And whilst everyone wanted to be red, black was always my fave. And I guess it’s just stuck. That and I’m a big old (proud) geek.

ā€˜As classical musicians we play a lot of music by dead European white men. Which is fine - they wrote a lot of good music. But it’s not what I was brought up on. So this is a little encore in honour of the music that’s in my foundations’ Last night I had the huge huge privilege of rejoining my old youth orchestra to play the Eric Fog bassoon concerto at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool. I absolutely loved it (despite being quite stressed about it.) Thanks to @robguyconductor for all the great great work he does with the young people. It’s inspiring. Shout out to the team at the Phil. And to @iamvanessareed . And a big thanks to my pal @nathanknightmusic for joining me on bass for the encore and to @eamonnodwyer for the lush arrangement. šŸŽ„ @andrewbarneymusic

Well… he must be really good! From taking up the bass on at 16 to performing with some of the UK’s leading orchestras, presenting on BBC Radio 3, and holding a bassoon chair with Chineke!, Linton Stephen’s (@lintstogram ) career is built on talent, perseverance, and purpose. We’re so proud to launch our very first Spotlight Session with Linton Stevens - talking impostor syndrome, identity, and carving out space in classical music on your own terms. šŸ©µšŸŽ¶ šŸŽ„ Full session now live on YouTube. šŸ”— in bio.
