Such a great time performing Foggās bassoon concerto with Scarborough Symphony Orchestra. I celebrated by eating 5 caramel freddo and getting into bed before 10:30
Get you a fabulous co-presenter whoāll tie you into your silver torso corset. @thekatiederham THANK YOU! A wonderful launch for this years 2026 BBC proms. Itās going to be a terrific season!!!!! @bbcpromstagram
Super proud that at 40 years old Iām hitting my best 1RMās for the big three. Deadlifts, bench and squats, and sitting at my heaviest 88kg. Now time for the summer cut.
With the addition of the new green helmet, my MMPR collection is complete ā if you wanna know why Iām still obsessed with this series, when I was a kid there was no black representation in live action super hero shows for kids, until this one. And whilst everyone wanted to be red, black was always my fave. And I guess itās just stuck. That and Iām a big old (proud) geek.
Some friends come over in times of need. Some visit you for a cuppa. Real friends. They come round for a nap. Happy Birthday to me number 1 bestie @keyeslucy
āAs classical musicians we play a lot of music by dead European white men. Which is fine - they wrote a lot of good music. But itās not what I was brought up on. So this is a little encore in honour of the music thatās in my foundationsā
Last night I had the huge huge privilege of rejoining my old youth orchestra to play the Eric Fog bassoon concerto at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool. I absolutely loved it (despite being quite stressed about it.) Thanks to @robguyconductor for all the great great work he does with the young people. Itās inspiring. Shout out to the team at the Phil. And to @iamvanessareed . And a big thanks to my pal @nathanknightmusic for joining me on bass for the encore and to @eamonnodwyer for the lush arrangement.
