We are so proud of these wonderful dancers, who will perform "Society," choreographed by longtime LINES company dancer @babatunji Babatunji Johnson. This appearance is part of the annual "Dancing in the Park" event, featuring performances by 18+ dance companies from around the Bay Area. This event runs from 1-4:30pm. We are deeply saddened by the passing of San Francisco Symphony Conductor Laureate Michael Tilson Thomas, a visionary artist whose impact on music and the Bay Area community is immeasurable. During his 25-year tenure, he led nearly 1,800 concerts, becoming the longest-serving music director in the orchestra's history. MTT's artistry, generosity, and enduring partnership with the @sfsymphony have inspired countless collaborations and touched audiences around the world. We send our heartfelt condolences to our friends at the Symphony, the @sfsymphonymusicians , and to all who were moved by MTT's extraordinary life and work.

We were thrilled and grateful to have the legendary actress and activist Jane Fonda @janefonda join us at our spring season performance on Saturday, April 18! “I’m deeply moved by what I saw,” Fonda told the @sfchronicle backstage after the matinee performance, visibly emotional. We are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Arturo Fernandez, longtime friend, collaborator, mentor, teacher, and ballet master to LINES Ballet, and a tremendous force to Bay Area dance. For 25 years, Arturo traveled on innumerable tours with LINES and preserved, coached, and passed on countless hours of choreography to our dancers. He also shared immense insight in the classroom and dedicated his radiant energy to drawing the best out of his students across all of our education programs. Arturo’s dedication, passion, and care for each individual has made a huge impact on LINES Ballet, our community, and our history. We are incredibly grateful to have been touched by this incredible artist and human being. Sending much love to all.
