It’s courtship and nest building time for the Great Blue Herons down in Stanley Park!
Did you know: this is the biggest urban heron colony in North America!? It’s a great time to go have a look before the leaves fill in on the trees 🌳

We closed out 2025 with a beach sunset and welcomed in 2026 with the years’ first beach adventure! 🌊
Looking forward to the many adventures that await us in 2026!
Happy New Year! 🥂
In an effort to share more of our weekend hikes, here is today’s foggy Cypress Mountain adventure 🐕🦺🐾🏔️. First 7 photos by @limitscrw ; last two by me 😌📷
Beach walks in any season, snow searching missions up the side of the north shore mountains, long drives with the back window down and endless belly scratching - those are just a few of the regular activities this guy has brought into our lives over the last 5 years. 🥹❤️
HBD to Mr. Timber 🎈🌊🏔️🐾
Day 23. The last leg of our 4,200 km northern BC road trip kicked off with a bang when our rear windshield exploded in a coffee shop parking lot. That’s about when the snow and temperature started falling. A quick crash wrap got us back on the road, but it was slow-going through the white-out conditions around 100 Mile House. With the cameras buried under broken glass and plastic wrap, here’s a throwback to Duffey Lake Road from our trip in October, 2020.

Day 22 and 2,800km later, we rolled up to the frosty, idyllic scene of Stegyawden rising up from the frazil ice of Seeley Lake.
