We are thrilled to see the Cosgrove High School Revitalisation come to life!
The revitalisation of Cosgrove High School is now complete. A project shaped by the belief that learning environments can do more than function well. They can inspire curiosity, connection and possibility.
“When we invest in high-quality, well-designed spaces, we are investing in teaching and learning, as well as the engagement and wellbeing of every student who walks through these doors.” Minister Jo Palmer.
Emerging from a deeply collaborative masterplanning journey with the school community, the Department for Education, Children and Young People and our team of consultants, the project reimagines the campus as a culturally safe, inclusive and supportive environment that fosters connection, curiosity and belonging.
Delivered by Vos Construction - a team who shared the aspirational journey.
A meaningful project shaped by many voices and generous collaboration.

Freycinet Lodge, Coastal Pavilions. A project we return to, again and again.
"We have drawn inspiration from this unique setting to influence the architecture and interiors of the pavilions. The design has taken its cue from the fluidity and layers of the coastal rock formations, the colouring of the rich orange lichen and forms of the nearby bays. The exteriors are treated in a recessive way so as not to compete with this beautiful landscape." - LIMINAL Co-Director Peta Heffernan
The landscapes that humble us are the ones that move our work forward. There's a lot in the pipeline right now - and it's rooted in moments like this.

Thank you, Uncle Rodney, for gathering with us and sharing your stories and wisdom on what it means to listen to place and honour the knowledge that has been held here for thousands of years. 📷 @petaheffernan

Light is more than seeing.
It shapes how we feel in a space, influences our health and wellbeing, and transforms spaces from static form into living experiences. In a performance venue like the Hedberg, light becomes another collaborator - setting mood, guiding movement, weaving intricate worlds.
Southern Lighting supplied the majority of fittings that bring the Hedberg to life, understanding that each fixture plays an important role in the spatial narrative.
From ideation through to completion, projects like this are shaped by countless hands - suppliers, fabricators, installers, and makers who bring vision into being.
We're grateful to work with collaborators who understand that light is never just functional. It's emotional, physiological, theatrical.

It's time we introduced Brian.
Brian is a quiet powerhouse, bringing thoughtful contributions to many of the projects emerging from LIMINAL - a Graduate of Architecture who understands that design lives in the details, whether shaping a building, designing an environment or crafting a journal by hand.
In the Studio, he brings creativity and deep thinking to every project, moving fluidly between conceptual sketching and technical execution, hallmarks of someone who knows materials intimately. Outside the Studio, he's the Founder of Erregatti - handcrafted, artisan leather journals where his attention to detail finds another threshold to cross.
Whether he's creating an environment or binding a journal, Brian understands that great design lives in the details - in the doing, not just the imagining.
Brian demonstrates how working with your hands clarifies thinking.

LIMINALITY—a coming together.
In December, our nipaluna and naarm teams gathered in Hobart for a workshop that was less about outcomes and more about threshold. Together, we created a blueprint—not of a building, but of who we are, where we've been, and where we're going.
Liminal space is where transformation happens. When North and South meet, when past informs future, when individual voices become collective vision.
This is the work between the work. The pause that creates clarity. The collaboration that fuels what comes next.

Exciting to see the Cosgrove High School Revitalisation Project taking shape.
For the first time, in the school’s 74 year history, outdoor learning will be seamlessly integrated with new contemporary learning spaces, catering for neurodivergent and
neurotypical learners…
With a design approach that draws out narratives that heighten knowledge exchange and connection to Country.
Stay tuned…
