Phoenix based DJ and producer Andrew Flores @earthsurfaceopen (aka Jock Club/Earthsurfaceopen) makes his mark on the global landscape with his prolific output, delivering some of the most unfiltered material in the American underground music scene for the last decade. Early efforts include his involvement in hardgroove techno, house & broken beat with releases on Ascetic House, Classical Trax & CoOp Presents.
Jock Club is the product of mid-2010s bass music with a DIY punk ethos. More recent episodes paint impressions in the trip hop-ragga-big beat universe, keeping futurism at the forefront of dance music culture. Flores can still be caught around Phoenix in dimly lit clubs playing bass-heavy techno, dub, dancehall, hip hop, and cumbia.
