I was extremely lucky to be involved with taking some pics of @liminalityuk @samjudd_ at the Cornish Bank last night!! Here are just a few of the many photographs I took!! Such an insane event with the incredible @sully.e64 along with features from @rigatonisoundsystem @unterwerk @samjudd_ with some amazing sets downstairs in the Vault too!! We have an extra treat for you tomorrow night (2nd May)... Audio-visual collective @shadow.works_ , who have lit some of the best artists & events in the country, including Bakey, Skream, Shambala Festival and Boomtown Fair, are coming to @cornishbank for the first time ever. ShadowWorks are a collective working within the medium of immersive audiovisual installations, exhibits and events. Simultaneously using light as a visual focus, sculptural medium and to cast light and shadows into space, their journey is of exploration and discovery. Coming from a deep musical background, they naturally draw from concepts such as rhythm, tone and timbre, harmony, and tension and release, accentuating and blending the lights with the sounds and rhythms of music, but also informing their visual composition style as they work with geometry and form, imagining how the lights would sound themselves. It’s safe to say the space is going to look incredible tomorrow. We have been working tirelessly with talented engineers at @cornishbank and visual/installation artists @kazzys.jpeg @taliaa.martin @albaa.sb to dress the space in a way you have never seen before. We’re incredibly excited to invite the legend @sully.e64 to headline ( LIMINALITY ) this weekend at @cornishbank ! Long before the UK garage revival kicked in and “future” garage had even been dreamt up, Sully began finding a space between 2step’s swing, dubstep’s edge and breakstep’s drums, all underpinned by the rude spirit of jungle. While he has preferred to keep a relatively low profile and remain around the peripheries of the quick hype, quick decay climate of the burgeoning bass music scene, his music has found a sense of permanence, the longevity of which speaks volumes of his talent. ( LIMINALITY ) resident @monodisk_41 returns THIS SATURDAY, following up from our first Vault Session🌞 Monodisk is an audio-visual artist that blends intricate breakbeats, classic drum machines, and lush ambient textures. His style incorporates knotty beats, complex programming, and hyper-detailed drill ‘n’ bass. His visuals blend between digital and analog textures often accompanied by installations to pair the two together. We’re getting excited and preparing for a big night here. Introducing @wizardtree_ playing LIVE at @cornishbank this Saturday! 🌞 Wizardtree’s fusion of trance-driven bass music brings a high energy, yet deep and emotional dance, journeying from 130 to 190 BPM blending heavy grooves with twisted sound design and atmospheric euphoria. Drawing on jungle breaks, DnB basslines, dubstep grooves and psychedelic atmospheres, Wizardtree’s sets channel the hypnotic ecstasy of trance through left-field bass music, crafting a ritualistic experience on the dancefloor.
