Hey there! I figured it’s about time I properly introduce myself. I’m Leandi. 🙋🏼♀️
Recently, I swapped the Transvaal’s plains for the stunning mountains of Stellenbosch. Now, my verloofde (still getting used to that term!), Jaco, and I are cozied up in a little cottage on a farm. By the way, English or Afrikaans, I prefer referring to him as my ‘verloofde’ or ‘verlofie’—it just sounds so much sweeter, and at times, I can’t take myself seriously when I say words like ‘fiancé’. 😄 Our love story hit a high when Jaco popped the question in the Kruger National Park, one of our absolute favorite spots on earth.
I’m diving headfirst into my “cottagecore” phase—think homemaking, attempting new baking recipes, planting pansies and soaking in the simple joys of farm life.

When I’m not behind the camera, here are a few things that make me tick: • Coffee Dates and Chai Tea: My favorite date is a coffee date (I usually order filter coffee or an americano with cold milk) and when I’m having a “treat-yoself-day” I’m definitely getting a chai.😍 • Dogs: Desperately dreaming of having a best bud to accompany me on hikes and to be my shaddow when I’m editing. • Warm Weather ☀️ • Steve Martin Comedies (cheaper by the dozen, father of the bride, pink panther etc). His movies always give me a happy nostalgic feeling. • All Things Pink. I LOVE PINK. 💘 • Flowers: Growing up my mom ALWAYS had flowers in the house. I adore them, even if my arranging skills are a work in progress.
Staying active is a big part of my life. I kicked off 2025 not in the best shape, but I’m on a mission to get back on track with running (never been a runner, still not loving it but here’s to hoping that will change) and reformer Pilates (how basic of me- I know). Plus, I can’t wait to explore all the hiking trails Stellenbosch has to offer.
Capturing moments with you and your loved ones isn’t just a job for me; it’s a true honour. I pour my heart into every second we spend together, ensuring your memories are beautifully preserved.
My goal is to document the authentic moments that make you who you are. I cannot wait to chat with you!

✨ Happy 2025! ✨ Wishing everyone a year filled with love, laughter, and moments that leave your heart full. It has beeeeen a while! Since my last post I got engaged, moved to Stellenbosch and got a pet owl. 🦉Okay he probably doesn’t consider himself our pet, but we do have an owl living in the chimney of our new home. We named him Bernie the Barn owl. Maybe he’ll feature on my stories sometime soon.😄
We ended 2024 on a high with Esri and Ruan’s wedding in Jacobsbay—a day that was literally picture perfect. The reception was held in Esri’s grandfather’s neighbor’s backyard (how special is that?), and everything about it felt so warm and happy.
Since it was a destination wedding, their friends and family all came together to help with the preparations. It felt like the entire town was celebrating them—quite literally, as the tannies and ooms came out onto their porches to watch us taking photos. 😅 It was such a wholesome experience that added even more charm to an already perfect day.
This wedding was filled with love, laughter, and the kind of genuineness that makes you feel so honored to be part of it. I could go on and on, but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

I think one of the most special places to say “I do” is the Stellenbosch Moedergemeente.
Built in 1863, this historic church is one of the most iconic landmarks in Stellenbosch. The towering white spire, oak-lined streets, and beautiful natural light inside the chapel create such a romantic setting for a wedding ceremony.

Breastfeeding is often described in simple terms, but it holds far more than that.
A friend described it as a quiet pause in a loud day. Tender. Sometimes overwhelming, but somehow, in hindsight, many mothers remember it not for the difficulty, but for the closeness.
She remembers the soft weight of her baby falling asleep mid-feed. The stillness of early mornings (and late nights). The feeling of being needed in the most instinctive way.
Motherhood continues to amaze me and it was an honour to capture this ‘lingering feeling’.

I don’t know if it’s me already longing for summer- even though winter just arrived with the weather we’ve been having, or if it’s simply a case of “heimwee”, but tonight I’m reminiscing about Es and Ruan’s wedding. 🌅
Their wedding holds such a special place in my heart as it was the very first Western Cape wedding I had the privilege of capturing after moving down to Stellenbosch. Beyond that, it was such a wholesome celebration shared with their closest friends and family.
And the cherry on top? Golden hour showing off in the most beautiful way.
Also ladies, get yourself a man who takes care of you in your dress the way Ruan took care of Es. 🥹

There’s something about Belair Pavilion. The gardens feel both grand and intimate at the same time. One of my favorite parts of the day was to capture the guests mingling on the terraced lawns.
I’m always inspired by venues that are designed with experience in mind- not only for the couple, but for the guests to enjoy the space as well. When a venue feels intentional, the photos feel intentional too.
I love a venue that doesn’t just host a wedding but also shapes the entire visual experience around it.

I shot with Brendan & Doné at Kogel Bay and it felt like we got to do three different shoots in one evening! 🥹 We started just before sunset, then everything shifted into a golden hue, and by the end we were in dreamy blue hour where everything slowed down a little. Same couple, same beach but completely different tones. It felt like they were being painted in new light as we went. I só wish I had my flash with me because we 100% would’ve kept going! 😭

Surrounded by his best friends at Belair Pavilion, they understood the assignment: tailored suits & sharp details- looking like they stepped straight out of a magazine… for about 5 minutes. The laughter took over, the banter came out, and suddenly it was less Vogue and more “this is just us”. And that is exactly what your wedding day should be.
