I’ve had a really beautiful time researching with these country women. Listening to their stories and lives, discovering our connection with these mysterious animals and their roles in our lives. It’s been immensely inspiring being hosted and welcomed into their lives with such generosity. Thankyou to @cityofmoretonbay for their support in developing this social research and @metroarts and @vitalstatistix_ for their ongoing support

Outer Space and Performance Space are thrilled to announce Lily Potger as the recipient of the Experimental Performance Art 2026 Residency. As a performing artist Lily devises scores that navigate their personal landscape framed by their identity and experiences, drawing themes that arise through relational experiences with people, objects, histories and other species. Through the creation of these happenings Lily uses embodiment to filter the complexities, undercurrents, and nuances of personal and social existence in so called Australia. They aim to invite audiences into deep collective witnessing of inner worlds and things that bubble softly in everyday sight, feeling, and sound to ground us in the trouble, joy and richness of the now, encouraging us to lean in, toward and on one another through experiencing together. In May, Lily will embark on a process-led residency that unfolds across two cities: a 5-day intensive in Gadigal/Sydney, followed by a 10-day development period in Magandjin/Brisbane at the Judith Wright Centre for Contemporary Arts. Stay with us as this project unfolds across cities, a space for experimentation, exchange, and ideas in motion 🖤 Image courtesy of Lily Potger.

Had a moment looking back. I want to share more of me and the joys. A lot happened. More than 20 photos worth more than 20 life times worth.

@lily_potger | @s6sha | @la_perlacl | @atacamaqueen | @somefxckingattitude | @adamantem.drakan #Arte #Contemporaryart #BienalSACO #Residency #Antofagasta

Trailer of moving image work titled WORK 2025. A meditation practice on labour of the flesh. this work brings together elements of labour, collaborating sonically with a drone of a sewing machine, chains and my grandfathers Cassio. The work examines the weight of the body as an example of the emotional, historical and physical load of feminine labour, contrasted by construction apparatus associated with a wealthy male industry in which women and gender diverse people are largely excluded in Australia. Hauling one’s self to the expected standard, an absurdity to the balance and effort of it all. The effort, pain, joy, and disparity is in plain sight, our discomfort is palpable. Here in the crutch of a pain inducing construction sling lies a sack of flesh paid for on an hourly rate under the table of the FIFO pay roll. Desperately trying to pull themselves out of the wealth cavern of so called Australia. It was a joy to make this video and the sound in a deeply retrospective and personal way with the help and consultation of @conorjamesmcdonald
