Opening May 28, Formless Matter and Its Devastating Gestures by Oklahoma City-based artists Denise Duong and Gabriel Friedman transforms Campbell Art Park into a world of story, symbolism, and discovery.
Comprised of six sculptural forms, including a towering head, an outstretched hand, and woven birdlike spheres, the installation invites visitors to move through spaces shaped by memory, imagination, and the search for meaning amid chaos.
Join us for the opening reception:
Thursday, May 28 | 6-8 p.m.

3-2-1….we carry the days. We open the opportunities and the love and care. The promise to learn and protect. To preserve our integrity and our compassion. It’s all the things that can feel like a confusing mess but once in place and the mind settles, it’s all together. Peace.
A little taste into the world of mine and intermingled with the world of the Red Cup. This place is unique and special to Oklahoma. One of a kind. With decades of stories to tell and people that still congregate there after many years and friendship. Gathering of the minds happens here. At the Iron Rose, art also walks in and out of their doors. As we all approach this insane world of steadfast corporate takeover and government whatever you want to call this, it’s nice to have this little haven with Coco the rooster. Special thanks for @ironrosesalon , the staff at @thercinokc and my daughter who helped me paint some of this afterschool.
The ACLU of Oklahoma Board of Directors and staff invite you to join us on May 2, 2026, as we feature an ensemble of trailblazing Oklahoma artists speaking on Art as Activism. Panelists will include Denise Duong, Tony Thunder, and Carlos Barboza. The moderator for the panel is renown screenwriter, novelist, film producer, and arts advocate, Melissa Scaramucci.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is required as seating is limited. Link in bio.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Had a fun and artful experience at the Thunder game of Friday with my favorite Thunder fan @mcdaniel_lance . Great T-shirts worn by the players before the game started highlighting black history month. Met the artist behind the bandana design by @royboney and watch excited fans get the signature from this talented Cherokee artist. Another artist, in the @thundershop was @stevenpauljudd designed jersey. I met @holatte at Sunny Daze, and got to check out her basketball along with @bearswillkillu intricate bead work on the basketball nets. Thanks to @vmarketing and @weareround21 for the fun artful experience and the enthusiasm of Okc.
Mi corazon. Mi hija.
I think Costa Rica was the first country I went to when I was in my early 20’s. Interesting to go back with my daughter and reflect on how much of life has happened in between then and now. Also a lot of fun to share my way of traveling with my daughter. Always an adventure. Going with the flow. Embrace the country you are going to. Appreciate the language the culture, the food, environment and the people. Don’t expect what you left where ever you go. Love that everywhere is different.
When I close my eyes _________……….
I see colors dancing. The sun seeping through petals. I see the best smiles in the world. My daughter’s smiles. I see the waves crashing. I see the snow melting in the river. I see all living things living in peace. I see love. I see all the things that I want to see in this world. Nature.
There’s so much I don’t want to see. But it is here. We must always have our eyes open to be able to care for one another. But sometimes allow yourself to just close your eyes and remind yourself of the love and beauty. So that you continue to fight.
Kerala, Kochi, INDIA.
I ended the year in my happy places. Spent time with my family in Vietnam and then to India. I’ve been here as many times as I have been back to Vietnam thanks to a very dear friend that I share a lot of history with, Ms annahmol .
10 years ago I painted a mural in Fort Kochi and I had the privilege to come back and paint something most epic and dear to me. This piece reflects on freedom, history and growth. It’s about friendship, sisterhood and love. It’s reflects on the adventures of life. The things that all great chapters in life have.
My gratitude segment. The friendship and the history we share is what sparks the journey and the magic. Much love to my dear friend Annah Chakola that keeps bringing me back to Kochi and helping me fall in love with it every time. I’m thankful to be able to create during the excitement of the Kochi Biennale and get to see the amazing work they have been doing. Of course, Most grateful for the team at @kadaannahmol . Also thanks to @kashiartcafe for the support and a beautiful space to paint. I’m excited to be a part of this next journey with Annah on her new shop in Fort Kochi!! I can’t physically be there, but my spirit is there. Also thank you to @badhushathaj for bejng there literally every step of the way and @ronnitgeorge for bejng my giant helping me get to high places. @ridzzziii__ for and @aana.jaanaand of course @tarunkurishingal .
