Lighting played a big role in this one. 🫎 Before we stepped on set, we had already built the AI environments for the spots. That meant we knew what the world would look like and how the light should behave inside it. So when we filmed, the coordination between our DP, gaffer, and team helped match the lighting to those environments. The firelight in the house spot, the car interior in the auto spot, and the warm bakery light here. That planning is what helps the AI world and the real performances work together naturally. Huge thanks to Light Factory, Noah and crew for working with us through pre-production and believing in the vision from the start! The auto spot was the most complicated one. 🦛 We wanted her upside down inside a crashed car, reacting to a hippo outside. That meant building an environment where a real performance and an AI character had to interact in the same scene. The other challenge was making it look like she was upside down. We planned it carefully, tested it beforehand, and figured out how the hair and gravity should behave so we could film it right side up but sell the illusion. A lot of planning went into making that shot feel natural. This one’s a big one for me. 🦝 We just wrapped and released a 3-spot campaign for InsureLine that’s now live on TV and across digital. This is the largest campaign I’ve produced and co-directed to date, and the first time we blended live action performances with AI-driven VFX at this scale. What mattered most to us was keeping the human performances real. The reactions, the awkward pauses, the timing. The AI was there to support the story, not replace it. It helped us to create the chaos around them in a way that just wouldn’t have been possible within budget before. Huge thank you to MASH for the trust. To InsureLine for backing the idea.
