It all started a few summers ago when my family was infested with lice for the first time ever. I tried all the traditional at-home treatments but they were all painful, ineffective and couldn’t get to the root of the problem, the superbugs. I sought out in-person treatment in NYC and once we stepped inside, the experience was less than desirable for myself and the kids and we ended with unnecessary (and unannounced) additional charges as well as re-infestation a few days later due to missed eggs. 2 years ago, My business partner, @naowellness and I opened Lice Mamas in Flatiron. We are two moms on a mission to change the antiquated way of not only eradicating lice but also the judgement, stigma and fear that goes along with it.
