Granddaughter June turned 3 last week. Watching her carefree spirit and blonde curls bouncing in the spring air made me think of Adam Grant’s words, “Too many people spend their lives being dutiful descendants instead of good ancestors. The responsibility of each generation is not to please their predecessors, it’s to improve things for their offspring.” Increasingly, it’s glaringly apparent that it’s up to We the People to ensure a better world for these little ones.
Delivered a stack of @plusone_for_america thank you letters to heroic Minneapolis teachers today. In the midst of the horrific ICE invasion of Minneapolis, they organized a large volunteer crew of loving teachers and city residents who provided continual food delivery (and more) to the families unable or frightened to leave their homes. Hats off to this grassroots organization that reminded us what community and caring for your neighbors really means! And thanks, also, to Plus One For America New Yorkers for recognizing and reaching out in such a kind way to Minnesotans💙
