8. Are we ever whole or are we a collection of continously changing elements, each with its unique colour to it?

It started with the desire to find something for which to create in a time both of us felt our lives go a different direction than the creative one.
The project finally found its form in this book ❤️

following the prompt 'layer' a wall was built and broken down. shot the pieces in my tiny bedroom studio, creating a world in post-pro.
at some point I was at a loss what to do with the image, didn't like it, didn't know what to change. so, time to try everything. ended up with integrated generated elements. sky and lower part of the wall are generated using photoshop built-in tools, middle part is real photos composited together. has a surreal feel, but a bit too close to the works of @brookeshaden (big inspiration in any case) for me to feel completely comfortable with it. what do you think?

:: DESCENT
Created during the promo shoot for Riley Davidson's (@guttergucci ) new performance piece "DESCENT", which takes the ancient Sumerian myth of Inanna's descent into the underworld and puts it into a contemporary context with live cello played by Moritz Ebert and sound design by Juan Cernadas.
8th-10th of April 2025
Inanna, queen of the heaven, passes the seven gates of the underworld, in the desire to de-throne her sister, the queen of death. She has to leave behind an adornment at each gate, weakening her in the face of Death itself.
