Clips from my fights on Saturday at the WKO world champs 🏆
So for this one, I didn’t tell anyone I was competing, only a very select few and those who attended with us knew. Just felt like keeping my cards close to my chest with this one and I was able to focus on my self more. Plus you know what they say, never let them know your next move 💁♂️😂
In the build up to the event, I’d been trying to learn as much as I can with different styles & tactics/understandings of the game, training with various coaches and other fighters. Both at VMA & other gyms 🥊 And I want to thank them all for helping me prepare, even if they didn’t know it 🙏😂 you know who you are 💙
I’ve always been more kicking dominant, as you can probably see 💁♂️ but in my own individual training I was focusing a bit more on hands and wanting to flow them in to my style more (which I definitely started to feel more confident with in sparring 💪). However, my left shoulder popped out and back in twice in the very first fight 😅 (video pending), so felt I had to be more reserved with my hands and not take as many chances with them, so of course I had to get creative 👀👊 This is the fight game, we don’t find a way out. We find a way to carry on ⚔️
Felt great to mix it up with some good lads 💪 always respect when sharing the ring with anyone 💯 🙏
My mindset felt great! Focused on enjoying myself and being in the moment. Not thinking about the outcome. Controlling what I can in the present, not the future ☯️ 🧠 🧘♂️
Will need some time to let shoulder heal up and possibly checked out because I definitely don’t want that happening again 🙃 focusing on other ventures for the foreseeable, but you never know what’s around the corner or what opportunities may arise🙏👊
