@kairoscapes and
@lezure.gla come together at
@lacheetahclub this Saturday 18th April, centred around a set from our very special guest
@anzieanz .
Anz is a Manchester-based DJ known for high-tempo sets drawing across UK techno, breaks, electro and bass-driven club music. Her selections move quickly, with tight transitions and a clear sense of pacing.
There’s a strong reference point in the roots of UK rave - early techno, hardcore and soundsystem culture - carried into a current club context, with older and newer material sitting naturally alongside each other.
Her sets balance contrast and control, moving between more direct and more rhythmic material while keeping things fun, precise and energetic.
Alongside an NTS Radio residency, she has played across some of the most renowned clubs and festivals including Dekmantel Festival and released on labels such as Hessle Audio. She heads up her own label OTMI and is known for a high level of output, with mixes and productions often made up entirely of her own material.
Kairoscapes is a newer project, spanning a range of tripped-out and forward-thinking club sounds and wider artistic output, while Lezure has been a long-standing part of the programme at La Cheetah Club for over 11 years, bringing consistently strong bookings to the city.
Both are rooted in the club and share a similar sensibility, drawing across a wide range of sounds within a club setting.
Our in-house residents
@kairogen and
@sloan_of_lezure open the night, typically working across a broad range of tempos and styles with a focus on pacing and structure, moving between slower, more percussive material and more direct club tracks.
