It’s been a busy few weeks since the SLEEPER Vol II Launch Event, and we’ve finally had some time to soak in everything that’s happened. We’ve been overwhelmed by the number of msgs and stories you’ve shared with us about your time at the event. Creating an experience has always been at the core of what we do, and we couldn’t have been happier with the reception.
As we’ve said before, a huge part of SLEEPER is inspired by our families’ old photo albums, each tied to places and stories that mean something to us or that came before us. To some, cars are just a means of transportation to get you from point A to B. To others, they are milestones of achievements, collectors items, money pit projects or obsessions we won’t shut up about. Everyone has memories tied to a car - with a specific person, with friends and family - and we hope you get a glimpse of those moments when you look back on the prints from the event. Things can get lost in the digital world so hang on to those.
To everyone who came out, thank you. You made this our most fulfilling project yet. If you missed out, don’t worry we can’t wait to do it again!
Thank you to STRATUS PHOTO*LAB. Everyone on that team is so generous and we’re grateful to be surrounded by creative friends that support each other. Photographers, especially if you shoot film, go give them a follow! They have a film lab and also just started an art and photo printing service, so whether you’re looking to print photos like the ones from our SLEEPER event, simple posters or art on specialty paper, the team can help you out.
