The traveler's eye is our hidden super power.
When we're traveling in a foreign place, we look at everything differently. We look with a sense of curiosity and wonder. The laundry hanging from an open apartment window in Italy, the bricks crumbling in an old temple in Thailand - all of these are common things, which through the traveler's eye transform into a magical world.
But what if we could look at our own city with that same curiosity and wonder? What if we could look at our city through the traveler's eye? The mundane details would suddenly become magical again.
In my city, I would notice the acrobats and drum circles bringing the beach to life, and the swaying of the palm trees against a colorful sunset. I would start to see the magic of my own city through the traveler's eye. What do you see in your city when you look through the traveler's eye?

I said yes to my greatest adventure yet🥹💍
On our first day in Kauai I wanted to surprise Eric with a helicopter ride to the waterfall from one of my favorite movies of all time: Jurassic Park 🦕
Since I thought I had been planning this surprise for HIM, I had absolutely no idea this was coming🤣 After carefully coordinating with my best friends and my family for weeks... He pulled off the most incredible surprise of my lifetime. He was even able to sneak my best friend Svenja IN DISGUISE onto the SAME helicopter without me even noticing (that's a whole story for another time).
Looking back, it's beautiful to see God's hand on every season of our lives that lead us to this moment.
@ericbrown I promise to never stop looking at this ring as a reminder of your love & I can’t wait for my hands to wrinkle around it throughout the many years to come🤍
It also meant the world to me to have this moment witnessed, celebrated and captured by one of the most special humans in my life. Thank you @storiesmatter 📸
One night at this hotel was $2,000 USD which is A LOT but they certainly delivered on quality, service, and amenities. Do you think it was worth it?
I've also heard that this place is finally getting remodeled so it may not look like this in the future! It felt like stepping back in time to what it felt like to be royalty in the 1990s.
Would you stay here for $1?!
So I booked what was listed as an “entire apartment” for the night in Dubai, and let’s just say it was not an entire apartment...
It turned out to be a hostel but actually not one necessarily geared towards tourists. I had actually never seen this before, but it was the kind of place workers book when they’ve been priced out of everywhere else in the city. This is a side of Dubai nobody really talks about.
I made a whole video comparing the cheapest vs. most expensive hotel in Dubai. It’s up on my YouTube now if you wanna see the other end of the spectrum.
Exploring the real Florida🐊
A quick but important note: exploring the Florida springs is a magical experience, but it's never fully "safe" when alligators share the water. An attack may be statistically unlikely, but unlikely and safe aren't the same thing.
There are many variables at play, from nesting season to the individual animal's temperament to whether it's been fed by humans. That's why I highly recommend going out with a local guide who actually knows the wildlife, especially my friend Josh (@floridaguidejosh ). He's spent years learning alligator behavior and body language and he's the one I trust to explore these springs with.
Respect these animals as the wild, powerful creatures they are, and please be sure to keep the springs as wild and clean as you found them!
Bro guessed my exact hotel room number😳
I see so many people doxxing themselves on a daily basis (i've made some of these mistakes too! )and because I would never want that to happen to you, here's a list of things NOT post online in real time:
- your upcoming travel plans/itinerary
- Your boarding passes
- Views of your hotels or airbnbs
- Strava or fitness app routes that start and end at home
- Your gym or apartment views (save until you've moved out)
- Mail or packages that might have your address on it
Also be so careful sending photos or videos to strangers because they can easily find your location if you do not manually turn that feature off!!

Hidden temple in the Himalayas? Sign me up.
this is the Tiger's Nest in Bhutan and it's genuinely one of the most incredible places I've ever been. After a really steep hike, you arrive at the entrance where you lock your bags and phones in lockers before exploring multiple temples within the monastery complex. The most surreal part of this experience was finding a group of child monks all chanting in unison as the setting sun filtered in through the temple windows, illuminating giant gold statues.
