2022 was once again one of my favorite years to date. I know I say that every year, but alas it’s true again. As the years go on as a creative, it remains a fun challenge to continue to create and explore new ideas that test you and hopefully inspire others. Looking back on what I created in 2022 vs previous years; I feel good about pushing my boundaries outside of my normal comfort zone. I’m super grateful for all of the amazingly talented people I got to create with, many of whom I’m lucky to call friends, & I remain humbled by the ongoing support I receive from you. It helps a lot to continuously fuel my creative spark. Cheers to all the good, true, & beautiful things that were created in 2022, and here’s to all the amazing things we have to look forward to in 2023 🥂

The Sky, The Soul, The Summit 🌌👁️⛰️
It’s been a hot minute since a photograph (or collage) has inspired me as much as @emmett_sparling ‘s eye collages. I don’t have the same arsenal of mind blowing landscapes as Emmet, but I do have a few detailed eye portrait laying around, so I had to give it a go. It’s so cool to see the similarities across nature in this beautiful world, I always thought Julianna’s eyes looked like the had clouds in them; this confirms it haha.

Does a single photo hit harder than a carousel?
When I first started posting on Instagram, you could only share one image at a time. That constraint made every post about “the banger photo”.
Then came carousels. And with them, the pressure we put on ourselves as artists: to post a full set, the BTS, a before-and-after—to always add more.
But sometimes one photo tells the whole story. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, yet we pile on extra words, extra frames, extra noise. And because of that, countless heaters never even make it off the hard drive.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s a time & a place for all that, but let this post serve as your reminder (and mine): a single photo can still stand on its own. No explanation, no carousel. Just the art.

2024 brought no shortage of experiences & views that I was fortunate enough to capture 📸
As I reflect on the year; 2024 was an interesting one for me and my photography journey. I moved states, which was challenging for my creativity, but from those challenges I learned a lot. This year really put a lot of things in to perspective for me, both personal and professional, and for that I’m grateful. I say it all the time, but gratitude really is a super power, especially during challenges.
As I sit on this airplane, headed to my new home: Nashville, Tennessee, I feel great about what’s to come in 2025. With everything 2024 taught me, I’m really ready to hit the ground running with the new game plan.
The mission for 2025 is to get back in to my creative stride & put less time between ideas and creation. To continue to master my craft, and to be of service to my loved ones, my neighbors, my community, my clients, my supporters, & my creator. I’m gonna be shooting a lot more couples & weddings, and really want to raise the bar of creative portraiture in both those fields. I will also be hosting 2 photography retreats this coming year, which I’m especially excited for. Cheers to the new year 🥂 Stay Tuned Models are tagged in photos

Classic Chevy Cruisin
Gabby & Tyler won the classic car couples photoshoot giveaway I did with @hollywoodclassiccar and chose this classic Chevy for their shoot. We put together outfits and a mood board that fit the classic vibe, found a classic street in Beverly Hills, and got to photographing. I need the 10+ carouselposts already, because we had way too many amazing photos from this shoot to fit in 10 slides 😅
