Happy 85th to Lew Senior. A tough as nails kid from Yonkers whose dad passed when he was 6. A tremendous athlete attended Iona Prep on a scholarship and then on to Wake Forest for a football scholarship alas he missed his sweetheart Claire so dropped out and returned home to marry at age 20. Went on to a storied career as an Insurance salesman. Was always present for his 5 kids as a scout leader or coach or boisterous fan in the stands. I can still hear him yelling at me to shoot the ball. Always a devoted husband to his wife of 65 years and now Papa to 17 grandkids and 4 great grandchildren. Taught all of us to have faith, work hard, conduct ourselves with integrity, treat others with respect and to give back to the community. Here’s to many more happy years. We love you Papa!
