It’s been circulating online that @csupoetrycenter may close on June 30. This would be an unbelievable loss of an unbelievable press, one that’s been around since 1962, & one that features some of our favorite poetry collections (featured here), including a book by Piżama author Lesle Lewis. It’s necessary to keep CSU Poetry Center alive. Spread the word, make some noise, & contact CSU’s College of Arts & Sciences & ask them to *not* shutter the CSU Poetry Center.

Slope Editions has published my new book of poems into the real world. One of my typewriters (also of the real world) is here to tell you about it. Ariana Reines @arianareines chose it for publication, and wrote a (frankly) immoderate intro: both gifts beyond reckoning. "It is a book which believes in pleasure" might be my best pitch possible. I spent about two hours earlier today putting 302 microscope slides back into the correct order, getting angrier and angrier (mostly at something else, I now realize).
The poem in the picture of the poem is from Apartment 21, which I'm really honored to be a part of. Thank you @mkwlsh and @apartmentpoetry . My series is to do with cycles and repeating, continuity in return, the parasitoid life cycle. My neighbors on the 21st floor wrote incredible things, & you should check out the whole issue.
"You only live once" is a command disguised as an assertion. So is that sentence, I suppose.
