Global icon and Afrobeats star Asake brought Lagos to Kings Theatre in Brooklyn and made history as the first African artist to headline Red Bull Symphonic in the US.
Blending Asake’s Nigerian roots with classical music under the direction of conductor Glenn Alexander II, the sold-out event featured guest performances by musical heavyweights like Central Cee, Wizkid, Gunna, Tiakola and Fridayy.
Rick Ross came to J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and said he wanted Kanye West and Lil Wayne on “Maybach Music 2.”
At that time it was Graduation Kanye and Tha Carter III Lil Wayne on the same record. The pressure to top the original was real.
