Donation based writing workshop starts at 6pm for 40 minutes if you want/need to write some thoughts and feelings out from a prompt I give or on your own. Practice a piece with me if you like. Deeply moved to share with you all that this is the first film I acted in & produced with a wonderful friend and director/producer @misaq.la is being screened at it's FIRST film festival, and I am just so happy that it's happening at the legendary cultural hub of poetry and community that is @bblitarts ! I am definitely wanting you all there for support since it's a film about family and cancer and I might be a mess of emotions 🥲... Usually alot of events I do are in support of you and awakening more of the humanity in us...but in addition, I do selfishly want you to come to this as a birthday event also and we can grab food after nearby if youre all available or head to the beach maybe...!?🤗👋🏾🌞 Either way, tickets are $21, $16 if you join their member program where you get free access to most of their events, and you can also attend more of the screening before the last block that I'm in to get your money's worth! UPCOMING *ACTOR WORKSHOP! @hollywoodconfidential has links in bio! Yall will LOVE IT! (Pretty penny though if you can invest it! *Honesty* lol) Great supportive workshops, attitudes, and artists all wanting to grow and find support in this time when it can feel like you don't know the future of storytelling... This is what keeps me going: 1. We have to keep telling stories. 2. Keep being honest even if you are the one that "looks bad". 3. Keep humanity as the bridge. 4. Call people IN instead of or after you call them "out". (*With love if you can or at least in a constructive way as if you did the harm and how you would want to be called out/in.) 5. Remember unity is the solution when separation and disunity has been the harm and growth of hatred or "othering." 6. Remember why you are here. 7. Love those hardest to love...they tend to need it the most. (Love doesn't = letting people hurt you or spreading yourself thin.) 8. Breathe slowly and deeply. 9. Keep your routine healthy best you can. Your fam and friends will appreciate you later and find inspiration in that. 10. Don't just love what you do, find the love in it over and over again and make sure your dream includes more than only you.
