Born and raised on the islands, founding member Lethal Selecta has been active in Hawaii’s reggae scene since 1998. Lethal Selecta has played on Hawaii’s biggest reggae stages and has held down long-running club residencies for decades. Built from a lifelong relationship with music, culture, and community, Pacific Sounds reflects deep respect
for reggae’s foundations while remaining fully engaged with modern global sounds. Selections move freely between foundation reggae, dub, and rockers into hardcore dancehall, afrobeats, and amapiano — guided by feel, crowd energy, and intention.
Whether performed on vinyl, digital, or hybrid systems, each session is rooted in the same philosophy: honor where the music comes from, play with purpose, and create space for connection.

@duttypaul gave a masterful performance at the unbelievable @hawaiifest last Sunday @moanaluagardens . @duttypaul performed for a solid 60 minutes showcasing all his greatest hits. This guy has not lost a step, absolute legend.
***SIDENOTE***
An early pioneer in reggae dancehall sound system culture here in Hawaii by the name of Kultchie use to run a dance alongside myself at Aunty Pastas (Kapahulu) called DUBWISE. The great @f1j1 stopped by the dance with no other than @duttypaul . I had been rocking the Gimme The Light tune on 45’s in the dance that summer. Kultchie was spinning and as @duttypaul stepped to the selectors, I handed Kultchie the 7” record with the clean version on the B side and @duttypaul grabbed the mic and rocked that tune 🔥 TRUE STORY 🤙🏽
