Erris Huigens Lost Futures opening reception 16.05 7pm-12am Erris Huigens, also known by the pseudonym @deconstructie , explores post-industrial sites and abandoned spaces, drawing inspiration from hauntology and the concept of the “lost futures.” The exhibition combines photographic documentation and video works with drawings and large-format black-and-white paintings on the wall, dedicated to the space of the pre-war house that houses the gallery. Huigens is interested in the tension between the pre-war building and the white cube gallery. This is the first exhibition in Poland by the Dutch artist. The opening reception will take place during the Night of Museums on 16.05, 7pm-12am. The exhibition is co-financed by the Piaseczno Municipality.

Ziemowit Kmieć Cat’s tongue fern leaf The exhibition by Ziemowit Kmieć explores the duality of existence through the contrast between the coarse language of a cat and the delicacy of a fern leaf. Drawing from biology and the mysticism of nature, the artist creates a narrative about the relationship between the tangible and the enigmatic. His project is based on a dialogue of opposites, emphasizing the unity hidden within contrast. Kmieć’s painting, balancing between realism and abstraction, is rooted in animalistic, corporeal, and organic motifs, transformed into totemic symbols. His compositions, reminiscent of diagrams, emerge from fleeting observations and personal experiences, which the artist calls “a window open inward.” In this way, he touches on metaphysics—the search for that which lies beyond physical experience. He finds affinity with the work of Giorgio de Chirico, particularly the mysterious, dreamlike perspective of metaphysical painting. Kmieć connects the body with the landscape, creating a coherent organic-geometric composition. The colors—sometimes pastel, sometimes contrasting—enhance the effect of the “harmony of opposites,” to which the exhibition’s title refers. Ziemowit Kmieć is a graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, where he currently lives and works.
