š£ Baby incoming, July 2025!!
Thought it would be fitting to announce on International Womenās Day, as we embark on this new adventure, bringing a new baby girl into this world ā¤ļø
Iām feeling extra grateful for all the strong, fearless women who have come beforeāmothers, environmentalists, activists, and endless change-makers who have worked hard to shape this world for the better.
Is it terrifying? Absolutely.āØAre we excited? Beyond words.āØAre we ready? Not even a littleābut huge thanks to all the parents whoāve loaned us their kids for practice. š
Hereās to raising the next generation of strong, compassionate, world-changing humans!
Joshua Tree šµāØ
Had so much fun tagging trash in and climbing for #joshuatreefacelift with @yosemiteclimbingassociation , @5gyres , @notracetrails , and many others! We cleaned up > 4000 lbs of trash from Joshua Tree, and had a blast climbing. Thanks to new friends for sharing food and gear, enduring a desert wind storm, and lots of laughs!
Last picture of us in Toronto, and first picture of us in Thousand Oaks, California! Weāve officially made the move from one āTOā to the other. š
I am missing home (especially all the wonderful people we left behind!), but looking forward to this new adventure.
Can you believe this is our new local mountain biking trail we can ride to from our front door? š
Feeling grateful and a little displaced, but super excited. š¬
Tagging trash with @cassysherlock today from the @uofttrashteam to figure out how plastic pollution moves throughout Lake Ontario! These bottles have GPS trackers and will be collecting valuable data that can help inform local solutions.
Pure magic this weekend. Sunshine, great friends (with social distancing, of course), and 7ā of black ice on Blockhouse Bay.
I always love skating, but there is something especially soothing about it this year. Itās the only thing I can think of that feels the same as it did before the pandemic.
Thanks to everyone who checks the ice and helps keep us safe. Conditions change very quickly, and some places are unsafe. PLEASE only skate on wild ice if you have safety equipment (picks, rope, etc), and youāre with someone who knows how to read the ice.
