600 miles.
San Francisco to Las Vegas.
on foot.
the speed project has a way of stripping everything down to the essentials: movement, trust, and the people beside you.
this past weekend, @milesoverbarriers took on the secret route of TSP. a group of BIPOC runners from the bay and across norcal showing up in spaces we aren’t always seen in, and making noise while doing it.
what happens out there is hard to explain unless you’ve lived it. the lessons, the laughs and cries, the sweat, and the gas station snacks shared at 2 AM somewhere in the desert.
under different circumstances, many of our paths probably wouldn’t have crossed. but thanks to running, i’m grateful they did.
IT TAKES ALL OF US

Collection 002 Release Event Recap
Words can’t begin to describe how grateful we are for everyone who showed up for our second pop-up and helped bring Collection 002 to life. From the miles shared, to the dancing, laughs, and over 100 lbs of food donated, every moment felt like a reminder of how powerful this community truly is.
A lot of thought and intention went into this collection, and getting to share it with y’all in this way is something we’ll never take for granted. Shoutout to the good folks at @3319marche for sharing their space, @bkgomz for the @adidasrunning shoe demos, and everyone else involved. And lastly, thank y’all for showing up with heart, with energy, and with love.
‘Til the next one 🖤🎱

the fear of failing has always held me back from chasing things bigger than myself. but the confidence that i’ve gained through running, and by being surrounded by such a strong and supportive community, has shown me that the only true failure is not trying at all. through my experiences, i’ve learned that it’s about more than just running. so with that said, i’m proud to announce @8ballrunning .
if you know me, you know i’m deeply passionate about running and streetwear. they both share a strong connection in the way they can make us feel, serving as avenues for self-expression, empowerment, and transformation. 8-Ball Running offers a fresh take on those feelings: a streetwear brand rooted in running, built on depth and meaning that people can connect with and use to continue building community.
as a runner of Filipino descent, it’s not lost on me how uncommon it is to see Filipino-owned running brands. 8-Ball Running exists to uplift BIPOC voices and create more representation in a sport and culture where we haven’t always been seen. this brand is about pride. it’s about visibility.
thank you to the run clubs who have warmly welcomed me into their communities and continue to push the needle forward. and to everyone who’s believed in my vision from the moment i first spoke it out loud almost a year ago—thank you for your continued love and support.

MUC 50 Mile Recap
started off feeling amazing toeing the line with good company. went out way too hot though and by the time i realized it was too late. started cramping bad in my legs around mile 10-12 which was new to me because i’ve never cramped like that during training. thoughts started snowballing if i’d be able to finish since i was in that much pain so early on but after looking back at all the training and work i put in i knew i wasn’t gna give up that easy even if it meant crawling to the finish line. popped some tylenol and made sure to stretch and massage every couple miles which helped. i knew i just had to get to mile 30 to meet Ben and from there it was just running with the homie.
this race was a fucking battle and hands down the hardest thing i’ve done physically thus far and i wouldn’t have it any other way.
shoutout to @thebendoucette_ for pacing me and keeping me motivated throughout the race. thank u to my family and friends for showing out at the finish line i was so overwhelmed with love and gratitude. and thank u to @lindeeznuts for coordinating with everyone and sticking with me on the course making sure i had everything i needed to get the job done 🖤

after logging in 400+ miles in 9 weeks of training, i managed to PR by 53 minutes from my first marathon 9 months ago. thank u to everyone who’s been there supporting, cheering, and inspiring me to get better each and every day bc none of this would be possible without y’all. this training block was far from perfect, and there were runs i would not look forward to. but if u don’t hate running a little, u don’t love running enough. the hunt for sub 3 is on.

@renegade_running track nights are always fun but last night was special. been running for almost a year now and the process of learning about myself and overcoming things i didn’t think were possible has been a big motivating factor for me. that being said, after PR’ing last night’s 2 mile time trial, thinking i emptied the tank, we were given the opportunity to do it again right after, with the challenge of matching the previous effort. ran it based on feel without looking at my watch and ended up running close to the same time. lil proud moment for myself and for everyone that showed out for each other! i hella luv this community and this space 🤎 also, when someone insanely talented as @hey_miya is capturing moments like these and cheering u on, ur reminded to keep ur running form in check which definitely helps lol #running #runners #runningcommunity #runningmotivation #oakland
