The display gazes into rooms, landscapes, and places. In doing so, the perspective shifts: the display takes on a gaze of its own and illuminates its surroundings. The installation is based on the simplicity of the 7-segment display, a type of information display developed in the 1960s. The place is known as a central meeting point in a neighbourhood that has undergone significant transformation in recent years. The installation reflects these dynamics and the role of public space. Equipped with several feelers, the installation captures the sounds of the urban environment and transforms them into a 48 hours sound compilation. Visitors are invited to experience the city’s acoustic diversity and interact with the composition in a playful, tin-can-telephone-like manner. The central listening station acts as a giant ear, attuned to a city that is never truly quiet. Ist hier die Welt noch in Ordnung, zwischen Mittersill und den berühmten Wasserfällen von Krimml? Was hat der Pinzgau mit Berlin und New York zu tun? Schneekanone oder Seebalkone? Drittwohnsitz oder Aperol Spritz? Steigen Sie ein und kommen Sie mit auf eine »supergaudi«, die niemals enden will. Lachen Sie mit uns. Trauern Sie mit uns. Die Rede eines Mitglieds startet auf dem Cover und zieht sich durch das gesamte Heft, unterbrochen von vollflächigen Fotografien (Phil Dera) und Zeichnungen (Yorgos Konstantinou). Ich habe die Grafik entwickelt und die Publikation für und mit RAR und Guerilla Architects @guerillaarchitects umgesetzt. — The »Revolutionary Residents' Council« is a neighborhood initiative on Mehringplatz in Berlin Kreuzberg. A member's speech starts on the cover and runs through the entire booklet, accompanied by full-page photographs (Phil Dera) and drawings (Yorgos Konstantinou).
