💔 Hoy no solo se fue un artista argentino impresionante. Hoy se fue un mentor, y un gran amigo mio. Una persona clave en la evolución de la animación argentina de los últimos 15 años. De no haberme cruzado con el , mi carrera no hubiese sido la misma. Por suerte tenemos su obra para seguir disfrutando y aprendiendo, siempre seguirá estando presente porque es incalculable todo lo que nos dio. Los que lo conocieron saben de su solidaridad y de dar su conocimiento sin limite a quien lo necesite, y espero que los que no lo conocieron tengan un tiempo para descubrir su obra. In Aura Studio , we believe that traditional animation will never die, because it’s authentic and real magic, we love and respect this process, but we also know that new forms of expression will always appear. New technologies can give us new paths and perspectives to create future animation. Back to 2018 when we was in production of our first shortfilm HOME , we began searching for new technologies , and we found a tons of new AI tools to learn. So we have developed a new production process using AI to our advantage, trying to control it, using AI as a new way of expression and experimentation in animation fields. This reel is a 2d/3d experimental reserch from Aura Studio team using AI tools over the last few years, made 70% AI 30% human. AI is more than the interpolation from the 90s/00s and people saying that traditional animation would be desappear. Or 3d destroying 2d. Personally i think , maybe, AI comes here to push boundaries forward, to confront and force artists to create things that the AI ​​can’t. Tribute times are finishing. The school of copying what is functional to the system is ending. AI will be forcing us to use our human hability to create and be original. In the 80s people said all are invented, in 90s and 00 too ... so. Human habitily to create is infinite. This is an active discussion, we are open to debate. What do you think ? AURA x 2024 A past, present and future compilation of my professional career, from the beginning back in 2007 to today. Last month I have spent an incredible week at @annecyfestival , together with old and new friends . I have had the opportunity to meet up with old friends from Argentinian Animation that I love and miss so much. And also meet new people from all around the world with immense talent and humility. I come back full of inspiration, and happy to see that this industry is full of good people, with sensitivity, who wants to continue telling great stories and helping the evolution as humans . For me, thats the art importance. See you next year at Annecy !

HOME - Shortfilm . (Official Release) Link in BIO On April 22, the ‘’Earth Day'' my last personal shortfilm ''Home'' was officially released, produced by @aurastudio.tv , and Original music by the great @fabmartini (@rocketaudiostudio ) , who had previously made original music for my short-film ''Travelers'' from 2011. ''Home'' is an experimental short with no budget, which was a personal challenge like the ones I like. I started the production process having 3 separate ideas that apparently had nothing to do with each other, and the fun was putting them together to see what happened. The first idea was a character vomiting animal souls, the second was a lumberjack who heard animal screams every time he cut down a tree, and the third was a very small sketch that I had in my sketchbook, the drawing was a giant bigfoot with thousands of trees behind representing the force of nature, and very tiny humans on the other end. The fun thing was to mix these 3 ideas in 1, without having a pre-assembled script, and launch myself to make an animatic directly to hook them. It was very funny because at times nothing made sense, until little by little and magically everything was making sense. I was also able to give myself the pleasure of trying some artificial intelligence on a little bird from the first shots, at first I had animated it in 2d and it felt very normal, until I realized to use ia to see what happens. This test surprised me. If I had done the process as it should be done, It would surely have been much better results , but I wouldn't have had as much fun. Have fun doing what you like, the rest doesn't matter much! Estoy muy contento de anunciar que 2 de mis trabajos estarán presentes en esta edición de Annecy 2023 ! Por un lado, ‘’Relevo’’ seleccionado oficialmente y ahora en competición. Una Co-Dirección @leocampasso + @rrrocky , la cual fue un desafío importante de producción. Gracias al gran equipo que armamos pudimos realizarlo en tiempo record. Por otro lado, uno de mis proyectos favoritos de ya hace años @elfuturoimposible fue seleccionado en @ventana.sur para participar del programa ‘’ Animation! ‘’ . @annecyfestival , here we go! ENG I'm excited to announce that 2 of my works will be present in this Annecy 2023 edition! On the one hand, ''Relevo'' officially selected and now in competition. An Aura + Bestia Co-Direction, which was a major production challenge. Thanks to the great team, we were able to do it in record time.
