I had a magical time collaborating with @divineanddying who is incredibly talented and a lovely soul⋆。°✩
One of my goals for this year is to step out of my comfort zone and collaborate with the creative people around me. Working on this collaborative project was such a pleasant experience!
Allowing yourself to create and be inspired, letting go of expectations, embracing what comes out of a beautiful process and sharing this joy with another creative soul.
Thank you!🤍

✨Leicester Fashion Week x Leicester Made 14/05/25
I had a wonderful time modeling for @leicesterfashionweek at the ‘ Leicester Fashion Week x Leicester Made ‘ event.
It was an incredible opportunity to learn more about how the fashion industry can become more sustainable. Thank you @athenaleicester for hosting this great event!
I’m really grateful for all the lovely people I met!🧡
Thank you @capturedbyharms for these great photos!✨

Pov: it’s 2013 and you’re watching a vlog
I thought I’d try to make a video where I talk about the upcoming creative events I’m involved in.
For those of you who can’t be bothered to listen to me yap for 4 minutes, here’s what’s happening:
🌳This Sunday (17th of May) I’ll be playing a few songs at The Tree. It will be a chill afternoon with some lovely musical moments, best way to end your week. Come down✨
🎭Saturday 27th of June -> I will be leading a workshop at Attenborough Arts Centre about deconstruction in theatre. I thought it might be useful to share a bit more information about the topic, so this coming week I’ll be posting some videos where I will explain a little bit more about the concept of deconstruction and what to expect from the workshop.
❗️Also, this coming Saturday (23rd of May), @earthstartshere will be leading the first workshop of Summer Of Apittame Arts. Make sure you book your tickets, link in the bio of @apittame
I am also working on some cool projects behind the scenes, but good things take time… I will share more details soon🌞
In the meantime: stay kind, stay creative and keep supporting your local creatives🧡
Love,
Ioana (Vic)

February-March 2026 residency with @councilgallery and so many creative and wonderful people🤍
Beautiful pictures taken by @f3mal3_gaze
I want to talk a little bit about my experience during this amazing residency.
On a professional level, I feel very grateful that I had the opportunity to work alongside so many talented people. I felt so inspired and learned so much from everyone. I feel like I made some great creative friends, and I honestly hope we’ll get to gather together again soon.
Visiting the house and learning about its history was both a fascinating and emotional experience. I am new to the history of UK housing, but I am no stranger to witnessing stories of poverty and class inequality.
This leads me to this next paragraph which is a bit more personal. During the residency, my living conditions weren’t the best. Being able to express my emotions regarding my housing situation was therapeutic to say the least. Having a safe space where I can turn my frustration and pain into something creative is truly a blessing.
‘ The Woodlice Cottage ‘ (slide 2), was inspired by my living conditions at that time: some walls that were slowly falling apart, leaving some cracks that nightmares would use as an entrance to the place I was supposed to call home.
I want to end this piece of writing on a bright note, even though it’s difficult to do that nowadays. A supportive and wonderful community of people helped me go through one of the most difficult moments of my life. This is why I want to leave you, the one who reads this, with a few thoughts:
Stay close to people who offer you a safe space to exist💛 Stay close to people who don’t ask for you to shrink yourself, or who disregard your reality. We all need to learn to be kinder, more understanding, and find ways to support each other. Don’t feel embarrassed to talk about your reality🤍 I am in a much better place now, and I am forever grateful for all the help, love and support I received from the people around me.
Please please please…be kind to yourself and to the people around you🌼🤲🏻 and keep creating💛

Hello🪷
It’s been 2 weeks since I decided to distance myself from social media and honestly…it feels magical.
What have I been up to?
Well since I’ve not been distracted by scrolling and notifications, I had the chance to focus on my projects and also get more involved in the local community - which is what I would like to encourage you to do as well!
I made a little list of a few lovely events and activities that will keep me busy and motivated in the next few months ( most of which are free to attend, so come down🌞 ).
I think we are so lucky to have so many great places and supportive people here in Leicester. Connect to your local community, we need each other’s support during these times.
Love,
Vic (Ioana)
