Lena Longefay’s (
@lenalongefay ) project “Vinous Landscapes” explores the connection between art and wine through performative tastings, focusing on the relationships between wine, culture, and land. Since 2022, she has gathered research and experiences in regions like Burgundy, Provence, and Southern Italy, collaborating with local communities and winemakers.
During her upcoming Studium Resort, Lena will present this ongoing project with an emphasis on Dutch winemaking traditions and the impact of Dutch trade on French wine. The presentation will also include a tasting of four wines, during which she will share her insights and techniques.

Through her artistic practice, Lena Longefay (FR, she/her) explores the complexity of beliefs. Rejecting the idea of seeking solutions, instead, it dives into the messy and long lasting issues within society through traditions, labour and faith. Research holds a strong place in her practice as she aims at making graspable complexity by layering concepts and anecdotes into an arrangement. She creates installations, sometimes animated by performances. Currently, she is cultivating knowledge in winemaking and sommellerie skills, and developing a body of work influenced by these experiences.
Lena had the opportunity to show her work in various art spaces in the Netherlands or in France. Her practice recieves the support of the
