Are balls sexist? at ā€˜beaucoup beaucoup de balles’ by @beaucoupbeaucoup.ch The small white balls you see here bring together a series of statistics I collected on gender differences in ball sports. They are based on: – the research of Arve Vorland Pedersen, Ingvild Merete Aksdal, and Raina Stalsberg, including their calculations of ā€œsupersizeā€ dimensions showing what a men’s match would look like if men had to produce the same physical effort as women do during a soccer game – an Instagram survey I conducted – data gathered from members of the collective, including ideal ball sizes according to individual body morphology – various scientific studies and journalistic articles Next to them, the installation invites the public to test a ā€œsupersizeā€ ball, created by Einstein; Wissenschaftsprogramm (Schweizer Fernsehen SRF). It illustrates the level of effort men would need to exert to match the effort women currently provide with the standard ball in a soccer game. The supersize ball weighs 650 grams and has a circumference of 76 cm. A standard ball weighs 450 grams and measures 70 cm in circumference. thanks :) SRF / Einstein – Wissenschaftsprogramm im Schweizer Fernsehen FranƧois Loriol Christian Bachmann @kathrinhoenegger @fulviobernasconi @romane.bvn @ma_cuisse @laruse.ch @suisse.workshop.studio @lirjeta.maxhuni @anna_raffaele_ @piotr_officiel @lauracipao @s.seline @beaucoupbeaucoup.ch

I’m grateful to have taken part in Dopolavoro+, a program of talks, workshops, and collective reflections on integrating a gender perspective into urban planning, architecture, and design, and to have had the opportunity to present my work there. It was truly inspiring to share this space with so many brilliant women from different fields. @seicolei @gab.says.hello @oharairelav @stefania__galante @cheapfestival Seeing feminist initiatives like this reminds me that we can reshape perspectives and practices :)) Grazie mille šŸ™šŸ¼ @cittafertile @donata_bologna Credits Clara Zamboni/CittĆ  Fertile

Feminine Literacy A design exhibition by @doyenne.studio (WWW) Women Work Wear by Lena Bernasconi @lenaberna Most objects are designed according to male standards, often making them unsuitable for women. The issue is particularly evident in personal protective equipment such as masks, glasses, protective clothing, and shoes: when these are not adapted to women, they provide less protection, hinder tasks and may even cause injuries. The project consist of work pants designed by and for women, specifically tailored to the needs of female woodworkers such as carpenters and cabinetmakers. They combine protection with comfort, adaptability, flexibility, and a contemporary aesthetic, aiming to close the gender gap in safety equipment. Showing at Custom Lane @custom_lane 8th Nov - 7th Dec
