FINE, I probably had the most fun recording this song in the studio from the background vocals to the leads. I’m a HUGE fan of the New Jack Swing era. I remember telling my producer that I had to have that New Jack Swing vibe, think Teddy Riley the king @teddyriley1 , Michael Jackson’s Remember the Time, Bobby Brown’s My Prerogative. The message of the song is clear: chill gang, GOD knows you. Send everything to Him in prayer, and He’ll send His love down on us, and we’ll be just FINE. It’s a reminder that, no matter the journey, His love will guide us.
This is the DJ mix, so the tempo is a little faster than on the actual record , it was sped up just so we could vibe and get the energy in the room jumping
I’ve always given God my commitment: to create music for the world. Not just for one group of people, but for everybody. It reminds me of the scripture, ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.’ He wasn’t exclusive. His love was for all. I want my music to carry that same spirit.
