It was an honour to watch an incredible group of drummers performing at my first @leithdrumstudio gig. For many it was their first experience on stage in front of an audience and they absolutely smashed it!

It’s Leith Drum Studio’s First Birthday!
A year ago today I opened my own studio for teaching and recording drums.
I’m truly honoured to be teaching some of the most exciting and creative drummers I’ve ever met.
Helping people reach their goals, express themselves and explore new ideas is a very special feeling. Seeing students excel and develop a love for the drums makes me more passionate about teaching and playing every single day.
I am beyond grateful to everyone who has helped me on this journey and inspired me behind the drum kit.

It’s been a big week. Played his first gig in a packed out Mash House, achieved Grade 5 and received an unconditional offer from Edinburgh Napier University to study music.

Today we had the legend that is @_kylegrieve_ from @leithdrumstudio down for a special drummer vs DJ session with one of our fav groups. The night before he was sound checking @slipknot ’s kit at the @ovohydro . What a guy. Thanks for giving up your Monday afternoon for us. Big smiles all round.

After a successful drum show, the students of LDS have donated £150 to the @_tinderbox musical instrument libraries campaign. This allows people to borrow musical instruments for free from 30 libraries across Scotland and they have started taking the project further afield across the UK and Ireland.
I love this project and the tinderbox crew do an excellent job getting musical instruments into the hands of people all across the country and inspiring them.
