Male grooming for me is about nuance. The subtly of enhancement. The detail it takes to truly make something better. Time, observation and the ability to honor things as they exist. Male grooming can be blatant or it can be subtle depending on each persons needs and comfort level. And ultimately the ability to trust your professional to know when it’s time to lean into foundation or the foundational needs of each part of the face.
Explore, especially as industry professionals or out of simple curiosity. Don’t be afraid to hire a makeup artist just because you’re a guy, or because you don’t wear “makeup”.

Makeup sessions can go many ways when the client gets a mirror, or gets in the car and doesn’t see a reflection that expresses who they are, who they feel they are. So when my clients feel heard and understood in our session and leave knowing they got what they’ve asked for and can move forward glowing, feeling ready for the occasion, ready for the future, bound to effect change and to show up fully, it brings me true joy and fulfills a deeper purpose. The confirmation texts, the videos heading to their destination, it’s always so special to me and I don’t take it for granted.
Met the beautiful @iamjojolee_ at my hotel while I was in Austin, TX doing makeup for a wedding. She was like are you a makeup artist!? It’s my birthday! We connected and next thing you know I’m glamming her up! Beautiful energy, and beautiful face! I’m not going to lie, I’m old school in many ways…and I just love a good in person interaction. She trusted me with her birthday glam, and I appreciate that!
