“What you thought you do during the civil rights movement… what you are doing now, is exactly what you would have been doing then.” This is the moment. What business are you standing on? #JustSayin
Just saying. I don’t want to hear ever again that “Government can’t move fast.” This shit moving at breakneck speed in all these red states is wild

The Governor’s debate was a good look yesterday. But man, was it just mean or did you also not hear a thing about the needs of Black Californians at all? I know I’m not crazy. It’s cool though… that’s why we got our own situation. 😎
PULL UP TODAY To the Black California Governor’s Forum!!!
Always a vibe and def a space for accountability to the needs we have. See you there! Thanks @blackequitycollective@boldblackla@blkpowernetwork #MECCA-IE @cope2000_ and so many others for putting this together.
@abbottelemabc has consistently been been some of the best television the last few years. And each season has only gotten better and better. And this part of the storyline…the slow and methodical coming together of them as a couple… it’s been a joy to watch. If you don’t already know, it’s def worth getting familiar!
A new piece to the collection. This one was an amazing addition. Shout out to my guy @vakseen . Hope you like how we placed the work good brother. Now we gotta put up the rest of the piece @the.hoodfairy . 🤓😎🎨
This weekend was perfect send off for a man dedicated to the discipline of service. A man who loved his family. A man who never wavered from his faith. A man who loved life and living more than anyone in the world. A servant leader. A father, grandfather and great grand father. A loving brother. An uncle. A friend. A veteran. A griot. He gave so much to the world. More importantly, he poured so much into us. I couldn’t be more thankful for what he instilled in me.
Now you are finally with the infinite, dad.
This is the way. The truth and the light. Do God’s will. Receive eternal life. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I love you. #Live. ✊🏾
Over 200 educators, policymakers, community leaders, and advocates came together for the 2nd Annual Alliance Summit, hosted by the Innovation & Impact Team—united by a shared commitment to strengthen Los Angeles communities.
This year’s summit centered on advocacy and action under the theme: “When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.”
Throughout the day, leaders explored how communities can organize, advocate, and work together to build systems that serve everyone.
Highlights included:
✨ A powerful keynote from Angelica Salas (CHIRLA) on civic engagement and protecting immigrant communities.
✨ Special remarks from U.S. Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove
✨ Impactful panels focusing on federal overreach and the State of Black LA
✨ A closing fireside conversation with former Massachusetts Education Commissioner Jeffrey Riley on driving meaningful, system-level change.
The summit ended with a clear message: when communities come together, share ideas, and take action, we create the momentum needed to build a better Los Angeles.
