I’m drawing ✍🏼 my inspiration 💡 from 3 different places this week for #SundayScaryMotivation: the beautiful snow that came overnight ❄️ ⛄️, this empowering Maya Angelou quote 💬 👩🏾, and my sweet & extremely talented friend Mere💙 over at @left.write , who pushed me to try my hand 🤚🏻 at an animated gif 👏🏻 Learning new things in 2021, people!!⁣ .⁣ Even just reading the word “courage” 🦁 makes my hands sweat a little 😬... Courage is defined as “the ability to do something that frightens one”, and “strength in the face of pain or grief”... in other words, having courage is scary 😟 and takes guts 🥊‼️⁣ .⁣ While I wouldn’t consider myself to be courageous in terms of big risk-taking or adrenaline rushes (a strong “no thank you” 🙅🏼‍♀️ from me for roller coasters 🎢 🙃), I think what matters is having the courage to speak up and stand up in the face of things you know in your heart ❤️ are wrong or unjust. That is truly courageous and powerful, and that is where your light comes from.
