Wing Jacket by @annringstrand
This is already my second Wing Jacket — but with a completely different vibe. If you swipe through, you can compare it to my brown faux leather version from winter.
I received this satin fabric a while ago as part of my role as #minervabrandambassador and although I loved it immediately, it turned out to be much thicker than I expected. My original plan of making a skirt or dress just didn’t feel right, so the fabric stayed tucked away in my drawer for quite some time.
Then the idea came to turn it into a bomber-style jacket — and I’m so glad I did. I lined it with a quilted cotton double gauze, which makes it incredibly cozy and perfect for the still very chilly weather we’re having here in Germany.
The Wing Jacket includes two pocket options, and this time I chose the simpler in-seam pockets.
I really love how different the satin makes this pattern look. Depending on how you style it, it can feel either chic or casual. Today I went for the casual version with jeans, my tubular rib shirt I sewed a while ago, and even my Sofie scarf because it was honestly still so cold.

I finished the “Bryn” blouse from @fibremood and I’m completely in love with the unique draped waist detail.
Clean lines, soft structure, and a shape that feels both modern and effortless.

So what you see here is a combination of nice facts.
Last year @minervadotcom cooperated with @tammy.handmade , who created a few wonderful designs.
In my role as Minervabrandambassador I could take a pick and I decided for the maxi swirling sunburst in an organic cotton poplin.
When the fabric arrived, by the way it is a PoD and therefore takes a bit of shipping time, it was the wrong season. And the suns are really maxi as you can see, so it took a bit of time to find the perfect pattern match.
Recently then I noticed a post from Kathrin aka @___unikath___ wearing a #portrayle blouse from @fraumarzi and instantly I knew that is it.
#portrayle is a raglan blouse with 2 sleeve options, bishop or balloon. You can also play with the cuffs and collar, there are options included in the pattern.
I sewed a size 36 with balloon sleeves. The sleeves I finished with an elastic and the color is finished with a facing.
I really love the result, such a colorful blouse, in a light summer material. Easy to combine with a lot of things, here I opted for a casual jeans look.

Von Kopf bis Fuß auf @fibremood eingestellt.
Hier trifft die Bluse Isola (Gr S) aus der letzten FM38 auf die Barrel Gizeh (Gr 40) aus der FM 30.
Beides ist genau so geworden wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe.
Ich liebe diesen Mix: oben luftig und verspielt, unten lässig und modern. Für mich der perfekte Look für entspannte Tage draußen 🌿
Allerdings war es draußen heute ein bisschen luftig und da steht man schnell im Freien mit dieser Bluse, wenn man nicht aufpasst 🤣
Isola ist aus einer gut abgelagerten Baumwolle entstanden.
Den Stoff fuer die Barrel habe ich bei @selvage.denim erstanden. Es ist ein soft twill, der absolut perfekt ist für eine leichte Sommerhose.
Die Hose habe ich etwas länger und etwas weiter genäht, da empfohlen wurde nicht vorzuwaschen. Also habe ich die Schrumpfung versucht einzukalkulieren, mal sehen, ob das gelingt.

This is already my second Rose Raglan shirt from @paradisepatterns
The Rose Raglan Button Up is a fun take on an over-sized classic men’s shirt. It has raglan sleeves, and instead of a classic back yoke, the yoke is part of the sleeve. You have the option of a classic two piece collar or a convertible one piece collar, curved hem, or a banded straight hem, and pleated sleeves or wide sleeves. You can mix and match between the different views as you like.
This time I chose for the one piece collar, banded straight hem version and wide sleeves , which looks a bit more like a light jacket rather than a shirt.
I received this beautiful flannel from @minervadotcom in my role as Minervabrandambassador.
It is such a soft material and looks a little bit like velvet. Because of the texture I went for the banded straight hem version and I am very happy with the result.
I shortened the sleeves 4 cm as they are very long and omitted the flat felled seams, otherwise all according go instructions.
I am very happy with the result, it’s a nice piece over a t-shirt when it gets cold in the evening or a perfect winter blouse.

Actually I wasn’t looking for anything and then I came across the merano balloon sleeve blouse from @moodfabrics
The top features a unique sculptural silhouette with open balloon sleeves that offer the perfect blend of drama.
I found the ideal fabric in my stash. It’s already so long in my stash that I can’t remember where I got it from nor what quality it is. I assume it is a type of scuba.
Whatever, I like the unique look of the top. You can pair it with a lot of things. It is comfy but still unexpectedly special and the best thing is, it’s a freebie. Btw the pink trousers are the #fibremoodkenza
….and a bit yayoi kusama in cologne we have also already enjoyed. Btw an exhibition to recommend.

Actually more or less a year ago I tried this pattern, which is fibremood Gizeh, and pretty much failed.
1. Too small
2. Wrong fabric choice
3. And bad work as nothing seemed to work
Having seen so many nice Gizeh’s, I needed to try it again.
This time everything went according to plan. I sized up to a size 40.
I went for this gorgeous PoD denim, which is just make for this pattern.
It is called:
Minerva Exclusive Languid Lynx Cotton Denim Twill POD Fabric
It is a Minerva exclusive, printed onto a fabulous quality pure cotton denim twill fabric. The cotton fibres give this fabric a beautifully soft feel and handle but with body and weight.
The fabric was kindly gifted to me as Minervabrandambassador in exchange for a design sample.
It is a pity you can’t see the details on this fabric, like the topstitching or the nice pockets, it’s all lost in the cat 😂
Anyway my conclusion, there will be more Gizeh’s in the house 😜

Aus Erinnerung wird Zukunft. 🤍
Für meine Bewerbung zu #MachDeinDing2026 habe ich ein ganz besonderes Stück neu interpretiert:
Ein Gobelinbild, das meine Mutter einst mit viel Geduld und Liebe gestickt hat. Den Rahmen dazu hat mein Vater selbst gebaut mit unzaehligen kleinen Nägelchen und Klammern. Viele Jahre war es ein fester Bestandteil unseres Zuhauses.
Gestern habe ich dieses Werk verwandelt – in eine leichte Sommertasche.
Ein Objekt, das früher die Wand geschmückt hat, darf heute mit mir durch den Alltag gehen.
Für mich ist es mehr als Upcycling.
Es ist eine Verbindung von Vergangenheit und Gegenwart – von Handwerk, Liebe und Erinnerung, die weiterlebt.
Das Bild hatte ich mir als Erinnerung behalten, immer mit der Absicht etwas neues zu schaffen.
Die Idee mit der Tasche wurde dann tatsächlich inspiriert durch @unikaetchen .
Ich habe meine Tasche an die Maße des Gobelin angepasst , d.h. sie ist größer geworden als das Original. Den Rest habe ich bewusst schlicht gehalten mit einem Canvas von @swafing für die Seiten und das Innenleben.

Basic time with a bit of a challenge!
When I ordered this rib jersey from @minerva.com I did not notice that it was coming in a tube and on top it is relatively heavy. I guess it is more meant to be for cuffs and collars.
Although it’s all in the name 🥳😂😂😂
“Minerva Core Range Chunky Tubular Ribbing Stretch Knit Fabric Biscuit”
Anyway, I did not really know what to do with it. Then I saw the new pattern from @Schnittmuster_berlin in collaboration with @Atelier.Johanna.Junker for a really basic t-shirt. And although designed for woven fabrics I thought now I give it a go.
As the rib is relatively heavy and stretchy I was afraid to get wavy seams and therefore I opted to use vlieseline seam tape .
I taped every seam as you can see on the last pics.
For the sleeve seams and the finish of the shirt, I decided to just leave the fabric raw as it doesn’t fray and looks so much neater in this way.
It is only a basic shirt with a very nice pattern, but I explained it all in detail, should you make the same mistake as me and order tubular knit then you have an idea what to do with it. Finally I am very happy with the result.

….it all comes together!
This fabric is a Japanese green polyamid woven satin from @beglarianfabrics
In principle ideal for jackets because it is water-repellent and non-stretch.
But my first thought was it should become a bag. And there is the new pattern from Silke aka @deinnaehwerk the #switchbag , which was just waiting for this light weight fabric. I used the fabric for both inside and outside and kept the look very clean.

Alongside comes my new skirt, which is a @grasserpatterns #1320 . I fall for the asymmetrical deep knife pleats of the front panel. There is one pleat on the right side and two pleats on the left. The back panel has a center seam and two waist darts. It has a concealed zipper and a slit in the center back panel. It comes with side seam pockets and is lined.
Although the fabric choice is not obvious for this pattern, I really like the outcome and in the wind you get an idea how light it is.
Together with my new bag this is a nice look to welcome spring.
