The tiny desk house kit sounded INCREDIBLE & in fact I might get similar sizes for my basement 😮💨 & in case you noticed me fussing around with a bunch of stick combinations, it was nerve wracking but also very fun to make these choices with all the choices for quieter than traditional drumsticks ProMark has to offer!

My particular fav was a hot rod on the hi hats for more articulation and a broomstick on the snare cause it just sounded right to my ears 🙃
& while I am still on my years long cymbal endorsement journey, I was so stoked that npr had a wide selection of my fav @zildjiancompany cymbals to choose from so I wasn’t stuck to the one useable set I own (altho they would have slayyed too) lol!

What a phenomenal set from such an amazing group of humans.
I can’t really put into words how much it means to me to be able to photograph this band, and know the talented folks that bring life to music that has been there for me during some tough times.
Quick update for Texas: due to a family emergency earlier this week, Sebastian is unable to make it out to Austin and Dallas this weekend (he’ll be back soon). In his stead we’ve got our good friend @leendrums from @mannequinpussy standing in on drums. In the two days we’ve had to prepare she’s done an impressive and incredible job learning our set. The four of us will see you tonight in Austin @radioeastaustin with @mugger.tx and @god.shell and tomorrow in Dallas with @acidbath.official@fugitivetx and @herakleion504 . We’re sending our love to Seb, and much gratitude to Kaleen for such learning an immense amount of material in such a short time. See y’all in the pit…

I got IDC Member @jagensterblum and chose the song “2 Sides 2 Quit” by the band Your Skull. It was a blast checking out the selected works of Jeff Gensterblum - what a rad drummer!! Getting to hone in on the style of another IDC member is such a great reminder of just how special this group is - easily the best theme of the year! Seriously had so much fun getting to jam out your parts with ya in the headphones - Hope ya didn’t mind the artistic liberty I took on the overdub! 🔔❄️
