A rough af early April brought a last minute impromptu trip to NYC to hang with my San Diego homies.
I hadnāt seen @thomasdemello in 6 years but it felt like no time had passed besides his beard getting greyer and my brows getting whiter. This homie put me up in his posh ass tiny hotel room no questions asked where we shared a bathroom with glass walls. It was weird as fuck but we had the best time walking around NYC looking at ridiculous amounts of art, drinking ridiculous amounts of beer and seeing pals.
Love this dude! He the best. If you know him you know.

I love this pic of Bob Irwin I found in @mcasandiego paper vault when I worked there years ago.
Robert Irwin passed today at 95. He had a legendary career spanning like fucking 7 decades! He was constantly inquisitive and pushed his work farther than many artists would dare to dream. He made a massive influence on my friends and I as young artists. Iām sorry for the loss to my dear friends that worked as his close assistants for years. Iām wanting to celebrate his life and work as he was such a heavy contributor to art and made important impacts on artists and art lovers the world over.
Happy to have been in his presence, shake his hand and joke around.
Youāll be missed Bob, but never forgotten.
Thanks for everything.
Youāre the best
PS: if you need a book on art that will change the way you think about art and the world read Lawrence Weschlerās book āSeeing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Seesāā¦itās on Bobās career and philosophies and itās a fantastic read.
Been cranking on Skullture jams with my bandmate @csollars !
Got these two shows coming up in SF & Oakland!
Generator show at Toxic Beach Friday at 6 not 7 and playing with some super sick groups in Oakland on Sunday
Hope to see some old pals out getting weird!

RIP to my solid homie Brother.
He was a very cool curious buddy.
Kelli and he shared ESP and he always took good care of his Sister.
He was a bright light and Iām so sad to see him go so soon.
Love you Brother
