Lens on Gaza: The Sun and Moon Still Rise presents an intimate visual narrative of life, resilience, and humanity in Gaza, through photographer Fadi A. ✨ As part of Lens on Gaza, we’ve been working with artists to develop new work from our studios at Convention House, and we’re excited for everyone to see what they’ve been developing! Hafifa Ahmed, is an Arabic calligrapher, sculptor and installation artist whose practice moves between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary art. Her work explores text, memory and narrative - transforming language into visual forms that reflect identity, culture and transmission across generations. Working across calligraphy, sculpture and installation, Hafifa gives physical presence to intangible experience: the weight of memory, the rhythm of spoken word, and the stories carried through language. Her practice often opens out into workshops and participatory projects, inviting others to reflect on their own relationships to language, migration and oral histories.
